Double Bay — home base

A suburb of thresholds worth getting right

Double Bay mixes heritage-era homes with original lock hardware, modern apartment buildings with proprietary entry cylinders, boutique retail along Bayswater Road, and professional offices above shopfronts. Each of those doorways asks something different of a locksmith — and knowing which is which is most of the job before we even open the van.

Street parking around Cross Street and the bayside lanes is where many of the everyday calls start: a key left inside a car, a shopfront that will not open at trade time, an apartment entry whose cylinder has finally given up. We answer those calls with the same method every time — assess the hardware, choose the least invasive route, leave the property sound.
